Queer Christian
Finding Favor in Your Faith "Despite" Your Sexuality
Christian Faith and queerness can and do co-exist in a surprisingly powerful and beautiful way. I grew up Christian and queerness was never talked about at Church or at home (not avoided, but not actively discussed) and while I knew I would be accepted, there was still some fear involved in coming out. I lost a few friends, but truly coming to terms with my queerness actually helped to deepen my Faith. Now, they reinforce each other in unexpected ways as I see God move in my life

If you have questions or are struggling with your own faith-sexuality dichotomy, please reach out to me on social media and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I would love to talk!

Designer
My design process is really simple, but often requires me to learn a new technique or principle which can be frustrating. It usually looks like:
1. Visualize* (and name)
2. Mental Map (Plan and design adjustments)
3. Technique Research (when necessary)
4. Quick Sketch/Outline/Draft (when necessary)
5. Rough Draft (sometimes this is the final)
6. Fine tune details such as size, placement, and color
7. Finalize
8. Refine name (if needed)

* I usually have about 5 visualizations in my mind at a time
Artist
I work with multiple mediums including (but of course not limited to) acrylic paints, wood, paper, fabric, and resin
I enjoy making one-of-a-kind art pieces and expressing in physical form what cannot always be put into words. I try to learn at least one new technique every year, but I think that may have become an excuse to run away from practicing pencil drawings

I sell my art on Etsy

General Optimist
And complete fool
For some reason (it's definitely my Faith), I hold tight to the crazy idea that everything bad somehow can be good and that everything good will get even better. And that decision of pure optimism has changed my life and the lives of so many around me. It is a choice. And it can literally save lives

I like to have fun and help those around me do the same, even if that requires being a fool and embarassing myself
